HT16 – Hamburger Turnerschaft von 1816 with kids

At HT16, children from age three can take part in parent-child gymnastics, children's gymnastics, apparatus gymnastics, athletics, and team sports. Groups are graded by age, and coaches often bring years of experience in children's sports training. The focus is on basic coordination, joy of movement, and togetherness.

The club is one of the oldest sports clubs in Germany and is firmly rooted in the neighborhood. Training takes place around the Hammer Park stadium and in several sports halls in eastern Hamburg. An annual highlight is the Hammer Lauf, with its own children's and youngest-age routes, often a child's first official competition.

The stadium is well connected by U- and S-Bahn, though parking is limited. Summer camps and festivals round out the sporting programme and make HT16 a social hub for families from Hamm, Horn, and Borgfelde.
