Galopprennbahn Hamburg-Horn with kids

Families can experience race days here with a view of the finish line, ponies, food stalls, live music, and, on many dates, an extra children's programme with a bouncy castle, face painting, or pony leading. The highlight of the year is the German Derby in July. The grounds are also used outside racing season for markets and fairs: the Flohdom, a huge indoor and outdoor flea market, draws thousands to the site several times a year — particularly exciting for children to browse and try things out.

The expansive green space is well suited to strollers and balance bikes. On market days, the infield fills with stalls and fairground rides. The racecourse has existed since 1869 and is one of the largest in Germany.
