Good to know
Daycare and primary-school children experience read-aloud sessions, hands-on activities, and short theater games built around picture books. A typical session combines reading, discussion, and creative work: books on themes such as feelings, friendship, or life elsewhere are read together, and children then take on roles, craft characters, or bring the story to a small stage. Readings with children's book authors such as Yvonne Hergane are among the special formats.
The workshops are low-threshold and aimed at families who want to introduce children to literature in a playful way. Educators from the Fröbel group accompany the groups, ensure age-appropriate input, and give every child room to contribute. Materials and books are provided on site.
Sessions rotate between Fröbel locations in Hamburg; the exact location is listed with each individual date.
