Esche Jugendkunsthaus with kids

Since 2016, Esche has opened its doors for cultural education in the passageway courtyard between Eschelsweg and Virchowstraße. In the converted industrial building there's a movement room with changing rooms and showers, a studio, several seminar rooms, and a shared kitchen as a meeting point. More than 200 children and teenagers attend the free courses each week — including breakdance, hip-hop, K-pop, singing, rap, songwriting, manga drawing, graffiti, or the open art studio Masterart. The offerings are mainly aimed at school-age children and teenagers from 5th grade upward, though some courses are also open to younger children. Registration is required for all courses, by phone, online, or in person.
