Good to know
At the Ernst Deutsch Theater, families can experience plays based on Wilhelm Busch such as Max und Moritz, which are especially well suited for a first theater visit with children. The program ranges from classics to modern plays, comedies, and contemporary drama — including Windstärke 17, Der Drache, or Don Quijote. For schools and young audiences there is a theater-education program with introductions to the plays, post-show discussions, and workshops.
The main stage has a classic proscenium form with good sightlines from every seat and is one of the largest private theaters in Germany. With the 9-euro ticket, pupils, apprentices, and young people get affordable tickets in every seat category — making even short-notice theater visits possible.
The building is modern and accessible, with a foyer, café, and cloakroom. Mundsburg U-Bahn station is right next door, and the Mundsburg-Center with its restaurants is inviting before or after the show. Tickets online or by phone.
