Elternschule Altona with kids

At the Elternschule Altona, families can join courses such as childbirth preparation, postnatal recovery, baby massage, PEKiP, crawling groups, and parent-child courses with music, movement, or creative activities. On two Saturdays a month there are father-child mornings with games, crafts, romping, and a shared meal, outside in the park when the weather allows. The family breakfast runs alongside it.

The building sits somewhat tucked away in a park and is one of the central family education centers in western Hamburg. Many parents first come to the house through a course and stay for years, since courses grow into fixed groups, outings, and friendships. There's also counseling, talks, and open meetups without fixed registration. The team refers families to further counseling services when needed.

The building is an easy walk from Altona and Königstraße stations; the entrance sits quietly in the park away from the street — relaxed to reach even with small children.
