Elbphilharmonie Kaistudio 2 with kids

In Kaistudio 2, children from about six years up can try string, wind, and percussion instruments at Klassiko workshops, supported by musicians. What starts as tentative tooting, bowing, and drumming often ends in a small piece played together. The room also serves as a small concert hall for up to around 150 visitors, hosting experimental music, talks, and workshops.

The studio is one of the music education spaces in the Elbphilharmonie, several floors below the main concert hall. This is where the venue's family offerings become reality — close to the professionals, but in a relaxed workshop format. A lovely starting point for music-loving families into the world of classical and experimental music.

Getting there and finding your way is the same as for a concert visit: entrance at Kaispeicher, then the tube and elevator to the studio. Better to allow some extra time on a first visit.
