Good to know
At EKiZ Neuenfelde, families with babies and toddlers can join movement offerings for the youngest, craft in creative workshops, take part in playgroups, or drop by for an open breakfast. Midwives and pediatric nurses provide regular on-site counseling, and educators help with questions about nutrition and development. Baby massage starts from the sixth week, postnatal recovery generally from eight weeks after birth.
The EKiZ is aimed at families with children who don't yet have a daycare spot. Most offerings are free, with meals available for a small contribution. Especially for families in a more rural part of Hamburg, this is an important social anchor point — story reading and relaxation offerings for adults round out the program.
The facility is located on Liedenkummer Bogen in the south of Hamburg and is closely networked with other DRK support facilities in the Harburg district. For families in Neuenfelde, Cranz, and Francop, often the first fixed address after birth.
