Good to know
At Circus ABRAX KADABRAX, children take center stage themselves: they practice juggling, acrobatics, trapeze, unicycling, and clowning. In the open program Spielfieber - Born2Play for 6- to 12-year-olds, you can drop by without registration, try out circus equipment, or play at large stations: giant Connect Four, giant Ludo, giant Mikado, throwing games, small vehicles, and an agility course. Children under six are welcome accompanied by an adult, and parents may join in at any time.
Beyond the open sessions there are regular circus courses, holiday programs, performances, and appearances outside the venue's own space. The atmosphere is relaxed, colorful, and without a fixed program. Anyone wanting a first taste is well served by Spielfieber.
The grounds on Bornheide lie in western Hamburg between Osdorf and Lurup and are well reached by bus or car. Around the circus tent there's plenty of room to romp, and activities move indoors in bad weather. During the winter weeks the offering takes a longer break — worth checking the calendar.
