Good to know
At the Bücherhalle Osdorfer Born, families find a dedicated children's and youth area with picture books, early readers, comics, non-fiction, audio dramas, and games. Regular events include picture-book cinema, children's book quizzes, philosophizing for kids, and gaming workshops, for example on building small video games yourself. The board game room invites people to play together.
During staffed opening hours, contact people are available for advice. There's also the FlexiBib model: cardholders 18 and older can use the rooms during extended unstaffed hours.
The location in the Born Center makes the branch a practical building block for an afternoon with children: shopping, a playground, the library, and a stop at the neighboring Kulturhaus Osdorfer Born combine well. Reachable via Metrobus 21 and Xpressbus X3, Achtern Born stop. Strollers and wheelchairs are welcome via the elevator.
