Bücherhalle Neuallermöhe with kids

The Bücherhalle Neuallermöhe is on the 1st floor of the Fleethaus shopping center, a few meters from Allermöhe S-Bahn station. Children have their own area there, called Kibi; from the Library of Things you can borrow robots, a sewing machine and e-readers, and there is also a seed library.

On Tuesdays and Wednesdays there is reading aloud from 4 to 5 pm. On Fridays from 3:00 to 4:30 pm FleetKids Friday runs with themes such as a Minecraft quiz, a mini robo fair or a Switch afternoon. In autumn 2026 a stuffed-animal sleepover and a family Saturday are also coming up. The Bücherhallen card costs 3 euros a year for children up to age 8 and is free with the Bildungs- und Teilhabepaket (education and participation package).

It is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 am to 1 pm and 2 to 6 pm, Wednesdays from 2 to 5 pm, and Fridays from 10 am to 1 pm and 2 to 5 pm; it is closed on Mondays and weekends. The entrance is in the medical center and is reachable by stairs or elevator, and an accessible toilet with changing facilities is available. Returns are also possible outside opening hours.
