Good to know
The Bücherhalle Jenfelder Au on Wilsonstraße mainly serves children, schoolchildren and families with media. These include a Library of Things with programmable robots and a sewing machine, a seed library and a gallery with changing exhibitions.
On Fridays from 2:30 to 5:30 pm, LEGO DUPLO afternoons and painting afternoons alternate, and on some days there is picture-book cinema at 4:30 pm. There are also craft workshops, a cinema afternoon for families and Jenfeld Gaming with Mario Kart for teens. The Bücherhallen card costs 3 euros a year for children up to age 8 and 6 euros for 9- to 17-year-olds.
With staff on site, the branch is open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10 am to 1 pm and 2 to 6 pm; unstaffed FlexiBib applies only to adults with a card. The rooms are at ground level, and an accessible toilet is available. Buses 11, 27 and 29 stop at Köpenicker Straße; there is no dedicated parking.
