Good to know

At Bücherhalle Harburg, kids can borrow picture books, early-reader titles and series like Was ist Was or The Three Investigators, plus films, games, Tonie figures and gadgets from the Library of Things. Story time for children, picture-book cinema, a children's book quiz and small holiday-themed activities are part of the regular program. Events are usually free, and some are aimed specifically at children from age two, three or six.

The rooms are bright, with cozy seating corners for children and teens and workspaces with WiFi. For parents in the south of the city, this branch is a reliable go-to on rainy days, for holiday programs or for a fresh supply of children's books.

The library is located at Eddelbüttelstraße 47a in downtown Harburg, within walking distance of Hamburg-Harburg station. It's part of the network of Hamburg Public Libraries (Bücherhallen Hamburg), Germany's largest municipal library system.
