Good to know
At Bücherhalle Billstedt, kids can borrow picture books, early-reader books, nonfiction, comics and audio dramas, play together on the Nintendo Switch in the gaming zone, and get their first taste of small robots and programming in the Robo Kids program. There are regular children's book quizzes, story-time hours and picture-book cinema, with many offers free and low-barrier.
For families in Billstedt, Horn, Mummelmannsberg and around Oeyendorfer Damm, the branch is an important everyday go-to. Opening hours are generous: on many days between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m., much of it as FlexiBib without staff present for cardholders aged 18 and up.
The library is located on the first floor of a medical building on Möllner Landstraße, behind the Kräuter pharmacy. It's very easy to reach via the U2, U4 and several bus routes.
