Good to know
At the Brakula, families can attend children's concerts, theater plays, and hands-on afternoons, join holiday workshops where films are shot, comics drawn, or instruments tried out, or drop in to the open play meetup on Tuesday afternoons. There's also an introduction to acting, an amateur film circle, and dance courses.
The Bramfeld cultural center describes itself as the largest neighborhood cultural center in northeast Hamburg and has long been a hub for culture and neighborhood life. The program covers a wide range: theater, cabaret, concerts, film, readings. A program flyer with current dates comes out every month.
The Brakula is located on Bramfelder Chaussee and easy to reach by bus, with shops and cafés nearby. Residents of Bramfeld, Steilshoop, or Farmsen-Berne rarely miss it, and for families new to the northeast it's a good place to start.
