At Bobby Reich, families can rent sailboats, rowboats and canoes by the hour on the Outer Alster and spend a while rowing, paddling or sailing across the lake. All boats are licensed for up to four people, so they suit a small family well. Life jackets are provided on site.

For many families, an afternoon at Bobby Reich is a classic Hamburg summer ritual. With kids, a rowboat or canoe is usually recommended, since they're simple to handle and kids can easily join in. Reserving individual boats generally isn't possible and usually isn't necessary, since enough boats are typically available at short notice.

The landing at Fernsicht in Winterhude is open daily from April to September, from 10 a.m. into the evening, with billing in half-hour increments after the first full hour. In case of rain, cancellation with a refund is possible. Sun protection and sturdy, non-slip shoes are a good idea.
