Good to know
At the BiM, families can attend theater productions by the amateur company "Keine Angst vor Klassik" — most recently a production called "Freiheit" — and use the Sunday village café as a low-threshold meeting point. There are also concerts, readings, and discussion evenings, often with a local focus.
The venue sees itself as a place for culture in the neighborhood, somewhere between a big theater operation and a plain community hall, where different groups and generations come together. Admission prices are mostly affordable, and tickets are often reserved in advance. Recurring faces and a close bond between program and audience shape its character.
The BiM is located on Saseler Strasse in the Wandsbek district, easy to reach on foot or by bike. Note: due to major construction work, Saseler Strasse is currently a one-way street, so arriving by car is best via Meiendorfer Strasse.
