Good to know
JoLa stands for 'Am Johannisland' — the address of Kulturhaus Süderelbe, where the neighborhood space is located, right at the northern exit of the Neugraben S-Bahn station. It's run by Kulturhaus Süderelbe e.V. On the ground-floor culture stage there are concerts, cinema, theater, and events, and the hall is fully step-free. Every Wednesday, the open neighborhood meetup JoLaMi invites people to chat, play, and plan, along with free formats such as game night and afterwork, plus the Café Welcome. For children, the house offers a painting school, children's dance, an open studio for families, and birthday parties on request — course costs can be billed through the education package.
