Good to know

Baui Tegelsbarg is the supervised adventure playground run by the Aktivspielplatz Tegelsbarg e.V. initiative in Hamburg-Hummelsbüttel, a meeting place for children from the neighborhood since 1982. Children aged 6 to 14 simply drop by Monday to Friday from 2 to 7pm — free of charge, younger siblings accompanied by parents. On the grounds with huts, kids build and craft; there's a campfire, a bicycle workshop, pottery, football and table football, music and dancing, as well as fixed groups: a boys' group, a girls' group, and creative, cooking, and gardening groups. Eating together is part of it, and on Fridays children aged 10 and up can stay until 8pm for the kids' party. Different hours apply during school holidays, with excursion days.
