Good to know
At alles wird schön e.V., children can take part in week-long holiday projects with professional guidance, building robots, filming, or working artistically. The projects are designed for specific age groups, mostly aimed at primary and early secondary school children. Alongside that there are readings in the Südlese series, music evenings, workshops, and art courses — the art group The Amber Jam, for instance, meets on Thursdays and is open to participants without prior experience.
For families, the association is appealing because many offerings are free and the venue not only exhibits art but also produces it. Changing exhibitions show painting, photography, portraits, abstract work, and socio-political projects like Kein Rassismus. Openings are often accompanied by artist talks.
The venue is located on Friedrich-Naumann-Straße in Hamburg-Harburg and serves as a deliberate counterpoint to highly commercialized inner-city culture. The association now also publishes books under its own imprint.
