AKI Uhlenhorst with kids

At the AKI Uhlenhorst, children between six and 14 years old can build with wood, carve, skate, or ride a stunt scooter around the grounds. Indoors there's a music room, table tennis, foosball, and billiards, while outside marshmallows are toasted at the fire pit. Drop-in visits need no registration.

For parents in Hamburg's northeast, the playground is a good after-school destination: the team accompanies the children, steps in when needed, and otherwise leaves plenty of room for their own ideas. Older children often come on their own initiative and meet friends here.

Anyone visiting for the first time is best off approaching the team directly. The staff will explain which groups and projects are currently running.
