Abenteuer- und Bauspielplatz SPIO with kids

At the SPIO on Born, children of primary-school and early teenage age can use tools, wood, and materials to build their own huts, shacks, and small constructions. There's also a fire pit, romping areas, and quiet corners. A team of educators is on site without steering the day too tightly.

For families in Ottensen, the playground is one of the most important open spaces in the densely built district, especially when children need more room after school than a backyard or neighborhood playground offers. The offering suits parents who value an open, self-directed play space combining building and romping.

Visits are usually free and need no registration. Newcomers are best off asking the team directly about current opening and group times, since these vary by season.
