What it's about
In the middle of Planten un Blomen park, you can glide around one of the largest open-air ice rinks in Europe. With 4,300 square meters, there is plenty of room for experienced skaters as well as anyone putting on skates for the first time.
You can rent skates on site, and skating aids are available to help beginners get started on the ice. Tickets are available online or at the box office, so you can simply drop by. An ice bistro serving crêpes and fries is there to warm you up.
Good to know: on Tuesdays outside Hamburg school holidays, the rink closes at 8 pm. The rink is located in Planten un Blomen park, and a stroll through the grounds pairs nicely with your visit.
