What it's about
Every Saturday, the area in front of the Rinderschlachthalle in the Schanzenviertel turns into a cult flea market. Locals, tourists, onlookers, hunters and collectors flock to the Flohschanze to browse, haggle or simply throw themselves into the hustle and bustle.
The market is partly covered and therefore takes place all year round, even in bad weather. On the listed dates, October 31 and November 7, 2026, it is open from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
After your stroll, the visit combines nicely with coffee and waffles at one of the nearby cafés, where you can enjoy your hard-won treasures. With kids, it's worth coming early, before it gets crowded.
