Monster Mia

The spirited outsider Mia is firmly convinced that monsters really exist. When her enthusiasm goes too far, she is expelled from school and ends up, of all places, at the spooky-beautiful Finsterwald Academy.

There, Mia discovers a world full of secrets: bats under the roof, a mysterious headmaster and classmates who really are monsters. A dream comes true for Mia, but not everyone at the academy is welcoming to humans.

The film plays as Halloween movie fun for the whole family and sets the mood for the spooky season. Abaton is a long-established Hamburg arthouse cinema.
