What it's about
From October 19 to 23, 2026, the Kinderstadt (Kids' City) opens its doors during the autumn break. Every day from 10 am to 4 pm there is a varied program of action, crafts and exciting stories built around a big weekly theme that the kids explore together. A shared lunch is included.
From Thursday to Friday, the kids can sleep over at the parish hall, with dinner and breakfast included. On Thursday there is a trip to the Erlebnisbad Arriba adventure pool for kids who have at least the Bronze swimming badge. Everyone else enjoys an alternative program at Poppenbüttler Markt during that time. Your own ideas for city life are welcome.
Volunteers from the parish and the association prepare the program. Four subsidized spots are available for children from housing shelters, and two are still free at the moment; the contact person is Timo Sander from CVJM Oberalster.
