The Poodle on the Roof

On this entertaining tour through downtown Hamburg for young and old alike, you're being watched from everywhere: roaring lions and life-size elephants, dreamy kitchen boys and little saints, unicorns and "roof poodles." Sometimes big and right in the middle of the action, sometimes small and hidden.

Let yourself be surprised and a little enchanted as you see the city's facades with new eyes. The roughly two-hour tour suits adults and kids from age 6 (younger kids by arrangement); it's conducted in German.

Meeting point is the main entrance of St. Petri Church at 4:30 pm. The price is €12 for adults and €6 for kids; trainees and volunteers get a discount.
