What it's about
The story follows Anton on his way to the St. Martin's lantern parade. When not everything goes to plan, he discovers how valuable help, compassion and sharing with others can be. The children listen and are drawn into the tale.
The session conveys the values of St. Martin's Day in an age-appropriate way: compassion, helpfulness, sharing and togetherness. It invites families to talk together about kindness and small good deeds in everyday life, and gets children nicely in the mood for lantern season.
The story is hosted by the Evangelische Familienbildung Norderstedt, which offers programs for families with children. A good chance to kick off St. Martin's Day together.
