What it's about

On the Tunnelblick tour, big and small participants learn a lot about Hamburg's "underground". Why is Hamburg's subway called the Hochbahn (elevated railway)? Why was mail sometimes transported faster in the past than it is today? What does a German emperor have to do with the sewer system? And how can a police car ride an elevator in the middle of the city? The tour entertains and surprises with many such questions.

The roughly 2.5-hour walk is suitable for adults and children aged 6 and up. It is held in German.

The meeting point is the main entrance of Hauptkirche St. Petri, Thursdays at 10:00 am and Sundays at 3:00 pm. The price is 15 euros for adults and 9 euros for children aged 6 to 17; there is a discount for trainees and volunteer service participants.
