What it's about
In the middle of Planten un Blomen park, you can glide around one of the largest open-air ice rinks in Europe. With 4,300 square meters, there's plenty of room for experienced skaters and first-timers alike.
You can rent skates on site, and beginners can use skating aids that make getting started on the ice easier. Tickets are available online or at the box office, so you can simply drop in. An ice bistro with crêpes and fries is there to warm you up.
Good to know: on Tuesdays outside Hamburg school holidays, the rink closes at 8 p.m. The rink is in Planten un Blomen park, and a stroll through the grounds pairs nicely with your visit.
