What it's about

The workshop is for anyone just starting out with 3D printing. It is also the machine course for the Ultimaker 2, which you must complete to operate the device on your own. It covers where models for 3D printing come from, for example Thingiverse, simple modeling with Sketchup, Blender or OpenSCAD, or 3D scans.

There are also practical design tips such as overhangs, base area and support material, model export and print preparation in Cura, plus operating the Ultimaker including changing material, the build plate, settings and troubleshooting. Other printing methods are presented in theory. The organizer is MAKE IT MINT e.K., and the session is open to students, adults and teachers.
