What it's about
On the Tunnelblick tour, big and small participants learn a lot about Hamburg's "underground." Why is the subway in Hamburg called the Hochbahn (elevated railway)? Why was mail once sometimes delivered faster than it is today? What does a German emperor have to do with the sewer system? And how can a police car ride an elevator in the middle of the city? The tour entertains and surprises with many such questions.
The walk lasts about 2.5 hours and is suitable for adults and children aged 6 and up. It is held in German.
The meeting point is the main entrance of Hauptkirche St. Petri, Thursdays at 10:00 am and Sundays at 3:00 pm. The price is €15 for adults and €9 for children aged 6 to 17; apprentices and volunteer service participants get a discount.
And tomorrow? It's in the app.
The weekend and the holidays, too. Two weeks free.
